United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has demanded the Pakistani authorities to fulfill the demands of justice while respecting the rule of law in the proceedings against the former Prime Minister and Chairman PTI.

Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson of United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, said in a press conference that the Secretary General is aware of the ongoing protests in Islamabad after the arrest of the former Prime Minister and calls on all parties to refrain from violence.

Farhan Haq said that Secretary General Antonio Guterres, including respecting the right to peaceful protest, urges the authorities to respect the rule of law and fulfill the requirements of justice in the proceedings against the former prime minister.
